.) To the best of our knowledge and belief at the time of sale, the puppy/dog is in good health. The required vaccinations and deworming are as indicated on the health record and the puppy has been examined by our veterinarian prior to leaving our kennel. We advise the Buyer to have the dog examined by a licensed veterinarian of Buyers choice within 72 hours after receipt of the dog. We recommend you take a stool sample with you. The Buyer shall not have said dog vaccinated within 7 days of arrival unless otherwise indicated on the shot record. This is to protect the dog’s immune system from additional stress during the transition. If the veterinarian finds the dog to be in poor health, the Buyer must immediately contact Highlander Bluff K9 to discuss specific illness protocol. Failure to see a veterinarian within 72 hours will void all guarantees. No further guarantee is made.
.) 2 year guarantee for all provable genetic defects not including hips/elbows. (Please see hip and elbow guarantee in paragraph 3.) Buyer must submit veterinary proof of genetic disease or disorder such as, lab reports and/or x-rays.. This is a replacement guarantee only, for a puppy/dog of equal value at time of purchase, unless other arrangements are mutually agreed upon.
.) The Buyer agrees to maintain preventative care of the puppy/dog in regards to hip/elbow dysplasia, such as proper nutrition, proper exercise, and preventing stress injuries. We guarantee our puppies to pass OFA certification and as such the buyer must have the dog x-rayed between 24 and 28 months of age. Failure to do so voids the warranty. If the dog receives a moderate or severe dysplasia rating the dog should be returned to us at the expense of the buyer. We will replace the dog (due to crippling hip/elbow dysplasia) as soon as possible with a replacement of equal value at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to request that the x-ray be sent first for review by a board certified veterinary radiologist or OFA. Should the buyer prefer to retain said dog, it must be sterilized and a copy of the certificate must be sent to Highlander Bluff K9. After which, the buyer may purchase a puppy at a 50% discount, unless other arrangements are mutually agreed upon.
.) All return shipping costs are at the Buyers expense.
). Each puppy will be registered with American Kennels Club into the buyers name at pick up. Registered first names begin with the designated litter letter, for example “L” litter Legend (chosen by new owner) followed by the Highlander Bluff Kennel name, (Legend of Highlander Bluff) If a name is not provided from the Buyer at prior to or at time of pickup, Highlander Bluff K9 will choose a registered name to complete the registration process.
.) Buyer agrees to allow Seller the right of first refusal should Buyer decide to sell, relinquish or transfer puppy/dog. The dog/puppy is never to be surrendered to a rescue or shelter. If at any time you feel your pup no longer fits in with your family and lifestyle or you are no longer able to care for your dog, please return the puppy to Highlander Bluff K9 where we will provide proper placement. There is no replacement puppy/dog or financial compensation. All return shipping expenses are the responsibility of the Buyer. This sales guarantee applies to the original puppy/dog only and is non-transferable to a second party.
.) All sales are final and deposits are non-refundable. Deposits on animals are valid until puppy is 10 weeks of age. Failure to maintain proper contact will result in forfeiture of said deposit.
.) Sterilizing your dog: In order to maintain a valid health guarantee Buyer agrees to NOT spay or neuter said dog until 11 months of age minimum. There are no added health benefits to early sterilization and it can lead to overall smaller stature and extended immaturity. Sterilizing said dog prior to 11 months of age will render this guarantee void.
I have read the above conditions of sale. I understand and I agree to all conditions of sale as indicated by my signature below.
The entire agreement between the parties is contained here-in. In the event of a dispute, Montana will have jurisdiction over the matter.
